2026 Battle of the Badges Raises Over $31,000 for Cedarcrest

2026 Battle of the Badges opening ceremony

The arena was filled with excitement, friendly rivalry, and community spirit at this year’s Battle of the Badges, as firefighters and police officers came together on the ice to support Cedarcrest and the children and young adults we serve.

From the moment the puck dropped, the energy in the stands was electric. Fans cheered loudly as Team Fire and Team Police delivered an exciting and competitive game, showcasing impressive skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The event was not only a thrilling afternoon of hockey, but also a powerful reminder of what our community can accomplish when people come together for a shared purpose.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, the 2026 Battle of the Badges raised more than $31,000 for Cedarcrest.

These funds will directly support Cedarcrest’s mission of providing exceptional care for children and young adults with complex medical and developmental needs. Donations help ensure access to specialized nursing care, individualized education, therapeutic services, adaptive equipment, and enrichment programs that allow the individuals we serve to learn, grow, and experience joy every day.

This incredible event would not have been possible without the dedication of many individuals and partners. We are deeply grateful to the firefighters and police officers who took to the ice, the enthusiastic fans who filled the stands, our generous sponsors, and the volunteers and planning committee who worked behind the scenes to bring the event to life.

We would also like to extend special recognition to our event champions, Tyler Valenti, Jack LaPorte, and Lex Thompson whose leadership, enthusiasm, and tireless work helped make this year’s Battle of the Badges such a tremendous success. Their commitment to Cedarcrest and the community continues to make a meaningful impact.

Events like Battle of the Badges demonstrate the strength and generosity of our community. Together, we are helping ensure that the children and young adults at Cedarcrest have access to the care, opportunities, and experiences they deserve.

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and cheered us on. We are already looking forward to seeing you again next year for another unforgettable Battle of the Badges. 🏒💙
