Walk & Roll 2026: Cruising Through the Decades
What an incredible day!
On October 3, the Cedarcrest community came together for Walk & Roll 2026: Cruising Through the Decades, and the day surpassed all expectations.
With beautiful fall weather and a wonderful crowd of community members, families, friends, staff, and supporters, Cedarcrest residents made their way through the 2.1-mile Walk & Roll course, led by President and CEO Jay Hayston. Along the way, there were plenty of smiles, laughter, music, and decades-inspired fun—including a special appearance by Harvey the VW Bus.
But Walk & Roll is about so much more than a morning walk.
As Jay shared, “Walk & Roll is so much more than a walk, or a fundraiser, or an opportunity for our kids to show off their campus. It is a community supporting the most vulnerable among us, so that kids can be kids.”
That sense of community was everywhere on October 3. After completing the course, participants returned to Cedarcrest to enjoy decades-inspired sensory stations and activities, creating even more opportunities for connection and celebration.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, friends, families, and the community, Walk & Roll exceeded its fundraising goal, raising $53,000 in support of Cedarcrest’s work.
These funds help us provide exceptional medical care, specialized education, therapies, and enrichment programming to the children and young adults who call Cedarcrest home. They also help make possible the experiences that go beyond what traditional healthcare and education funding provides; special activities, recreation, celebrations, and the everyday moments that bring joy to childhood.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who made Walk & Roll 2026 possible. To our sponsors who invested in Cedarcrest, to the volunteers and staff who brought the event to life, and to every person who walked, rolled, donated, or simply showed up to support our children, thank you.
Your generosity is a reminder of what is possible when a community comes together with a shared belief that every child deserves the opportunity to experience joy, connection, adventure, and belonging.
We are grateful for where this community has helped Cedarcrest come from, proud of where we are today, and hopeful about what lies ahead.
Thank you for Cruising Through the Decades with us. We are so fortunate to have you along for the journey.
