We were thrilled to welcome U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan to Cedarcrest for a visit that highlighted the vital role of care, connection, and advocacy in the lives of children with complex medical and developmental needs.
During her time at our campus, Senator Hassan toured our facilities, visited classrooms, and spent time with the children and staff who make up the heart of Cedarcrest. Her sincere interest in our work was evident through her thoughtful conversations with team members and warm interactions with the children. These connections helped shine a light on the challenges and triumphs experienced by the children we serve each day.
The visit was also an opportunity to discuss the importance of Medicaid funding in ensuring access to specialized care. As the only pediatric post-acute care provider of our kind in New Hampshire, continued support is essential to helping our children live, learn, and thrive.
We’re grateful for the time and attention Senator Hassan gave during her visit. It was a wonderful opportunity to share the Cedarcrest story and the work we’re so proud to do.
Thank you to MyKeeneNow and the Keene Sentinel for covering Senator Hassan’s visit.
