Skilled Nursing Care
Cedarcrest offers a comprehensive program of medical, special education, and therapy services for children who are medically and developmentally complex, including high-tech support for ventilator-dependent children. Cedarcrest is New Hampshire’s only licensed provider of pediatric post-acute care. We provide individual attention and professional expertise to children from infants to age 22, in a state-of-the-art yet warm, home-like facility.
We work closely with all family members and support services to ensure a high level of communication and comfort at our specialized medical care center.
Services and Amenities
Bedrooms are homey and comfortable, equipped with overhead mechanical lifts and respiratory and cardiac monitoring. We have a beautiful sunlit atrium, day room, sensory room, dining room, and family room.
Our neighborhood setting includes flower beds, a vegetable garden, meandering walkways, and a large specially adapted playground for all ages of children. Family members can even relax on adapted swings with their children. We make every effort to get to know each child’s interests and incorporate them in every aspect of day-to-day life during their time with us.
Special services include:
- Telemetry connected to the nurses station at each bedside

Bridget Toepfer
RN, Director of Nursing
Bridget began her tenure at Cedarcrest as an LNA in 2008. While working at Cedarcrest, she completed her LPN at River Valley Community College in 2011 and her RN degree at Vermont Technical College in 2014. She was appointed Director of Nursing in 2022 and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Southern New Hampshire University in 2023. She lives in Keene with her husband, Matt, and two daughters.
