2020 Good News ~ Deficiency Free Survey!

The Health Facilities Administration of the Bureau of Licensing and Certification, the NH Department of Health and Human Services department that oversees the assessments of health facilities concluded their annual survey of Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities, deeming it deficiency free for the third year in a row.

The on-site team assessment measures the facility against federal regulations for facilities licensed as Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID). The review includes an analysis of children’s medical records, infection control measures, COVID-19 protocols and procedures, human rights practices, cleanliness of the facility, observations of the children within their residential and school settings, staffing ratios, and interactions between the children and staff. The life safety inspector found the facility in excellent condition and in compliance with all life safety standards.

In their verbal report, the survey team commended all staff for their commitment and caring for the children’s needs and the quality of the medical care and school programming offered.
