Veronika Sokol is a senior at Monadnock Regional High School planning to pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy. Earlier this year, Veronika came to Cedarcrest and shadowed our Occupational Therapist, Jill Thompson. At that time, she let us know that she has chosen to organize a student-run concert to benefit Cedarcrest Center for her Senior Project.

Veronika is hoping that this event will have a positive impact on her immediate community, not only through the donations to Cedarcrest Center, but also by bringing a performance opportunity to student musicians who may have been impacted by the ongoing pandemic. The acts that will be shown at the concert will be performed by students, all of whom were required to audition to be a part of the concert.

From a very young age, poetry and writing have been Veronika’s medium to express her ideas and opinions. She is the current New Hampshire Youth Poet Laureate Ambassador and editor of the Youth Poet Laureate zine, Good Poetry.

The concert is scheduled to take place in the auditorium at Monadnock Regional High School in Swanzey, NH, on Saturday, May 7^th, time to be announced. Tickets will be $5.00 for general admission, $3.00 for senior citizens.
