During the month of October, we are participating in the Graceful Giving campaign and raising $1947 (the year Cedarcrest was founded) to purchase a Hand-Held Capnograph. A capnograph is a non-invasive method to monitor exhaled carbon dioxide levels. Monitoring CO2 is important for determining if a patient is effectively ventilating. With this device we will be able to tell if a child is unable to breathe effectively with the monitor by watching the CO2 levels. It is especially important when we’re weaning a patient off of a ventilator. We would be able to put the device to immediate use!
