Training Grant Awarded

Keene, NH- The New Hampshire Job Fund has granted Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities in Keene $15,440, which will be matched 1:1 by the organization, to fund training opportunities for its staff.

Trainings scheduled for the post-acute pediatric care facility staff include leadership/executive management training through River Valley Community College. A Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) course underwriting for three staff through the American Red Cross; Pediatric simulation lab sessions at Keene State College for nurses and Licensed Nurse Assistants and registration and materials for six nurses to achieve Certified Pediatric Nurses (CPN) credentialing through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. More than 50 staff at the home and school for children with disabilities will have new training opportunities over the next year.

The NH Job Fund, established in 2007 serves to enhance the state’s economic growth through training and technical education support for privately owned businesses and industries. Fund are available to NH businesses and entities who pay quarterly taxes into the NH Unemployment Trust Fund.
